"One question I have not yet received but expect to when my many fans barrage me with questions is, "Who was your photographer? That photo makes you look not only attractive, but also intelligent and warm. You look like a writer. A good one."
And my answer would be, "Oh. That's not me. But I agree. That picture is stunning."
"I'm confused," says adoring fan.
"She's not me. I look nothing like her. I'm a blonde Caucasian. But I'll have you note the word Asian is in Caucasian."
"What???" says adoring fan.
"I can't take a good picture to save my life. She's the stock photo that accompanied the website making software," I respond.
"Isn't that illegal?" asks the adoring fan.
"Illegal? Hmmm. I'd call it misrepresentation stemming from being unphotogenic and lazy. I think stock photos are public domain."
"You didn't check before going live on the site?" asks adoring fan.
"Did I mention that I'm lazy?"
"When's that book of yours coming out?" asks adoring fan.
"Oh I'm totally on that. I just have to take a good picture."
